People are tagging or putting stickers on city signs, businesses, or on property like trashcans, benches and fences. Not only property of the city or state, but on private property. Is it to intentionally destroy or is it a free way to market yourself, a product, or make a statement at the expense of nature, the community or property owners.

Paper Jesus
This is one way to get parishioners.
Dibrujo Readings
Not sure who or what this is about. Could be a jazz band. Love the way the mysteriousness of the sticker is juxtaposed with the psychic sign in the background.

USDA Organic
I saw this as I was walking my dog through the neighborhood near the park.
White Rabbit
Another band? This reminds me of a Chinese taffy like candy I was introduced to that is so yummy! A little hard on the teeth but delicious.

Stop Eating Animals
When I restarted this project, I remembered an image I took several years ago that at the time, I took because I worked and hung out with several vegan/vegetarian people and thought they would enjoy the image.
Eclectic Stickers
Just below this sign is a bus stop. Isn’t there a better way to wait for the bus then slap a sticker on this sign!
The Vanishing
This is another band sticker that I see frequently, now. When I took this picture, the city had not started on the prep work for the new metro line into the city. This sign is no longer there after the Expo line was installed.
Red Circle Underground
I walk pass this area often and I’m always surprised how frequently the tagging and stickers get replaced.
Grimm Image Records
I was wondering around the neighborhood and two things struck me. Why was there a phone down a small street with very few businesses and the sticker itself.
Back Side
A bit out of the norm to have the stickers on the back side of a sign.
Lost Life
One trash can near the boardwalk was littered with stickers. Some more interesting then others.
What's Not to Love
This is the backside of a building that looks like it could be abandoned or it’s going through some major renovation.
SMEREONE
I hadn’t seen this sticker before but someone walked by as I was taking the picture and said they see them all over around here. I looked it up when I got home and it’s a band. That seems to be the trend lately for bands to advertise with stickers on poles and other property.
Trash Stickers
One trash can near the boardwalk was littered with stickers. Some more interesting then others.
Walking Arson
I don’t know if this is another band or not but my guess is that it is. Maybe one that plays at the Liquid Kitty bar, which is just down from this sign.
Mee-ouch!!
The electric junction boxes are another popular place to put not only small stickers but large ones!
4E
A form of low budget stickers is to use the trusty Sharpie and a mailing label.
Private Skull
Part of the problem of having property with an alley at Venice Beach is you are subject to this destruction.
Stop It!
Just a hunch, but I think the bar around the corner leads to mischievousness of it’s patrons.
Yoda Corp
One trash can near the boardwalk was littered with stickers. Some more interesting then others.
Plastic Vampire Teeth
You don’t see too many newspaper stands anymore (just like the vanishing mailboxes) but when you do, you can count on seeing a sticker or some kind of graffiti on it. I don’t know if this is a band or just someone that sells odd graphics on various products.
SUE, FUE OR XUE
This is a popular pole. I think this person put their sticker over the Red Circle Underground one because I don’t see it anymore.
Health Coaches
We’ve all done it for yard sales or lost pets but I would hope those of us that did it at least went back and removed the signs later. Altough this is not the same, it looks like it may have been there a while.
Dora Exploring
Oh, how young they start to deface property. Keep it inside your own home, please.
The Vanishing - II
Here it is again – not vanishing but appearing!
What is the message about “false levels”?
